Overview
In Southern Sardinia, summer arrives early. Long sunny days culminate in sunsets that make the sailing experience even more intense. The colours of spring slowly give way to those of summer, and during the hottest hours life at anchor offers moments of true relaxation: a swim, a nap under the awning, gently cooled by the warm thermal breezes typical of this time of year.
Weather
Over the last decade, daytime temperatures have averaged around 25°C. Rain is rare, about 2 days out of 30. Winds alternate with the typical summer pattern, ranging from NW to SW with an average intensity of around 8 knots. Periods of calm are frequent, refreshed by light thermal breezes. Light summer clothing is recommended, along with a light sheet for the night in the cabin.

In Carloforte, June is the month with the richest calendar of events. During the celebrations of June 2nd, the town hosts the Girotonno, a renowned gastronomic festival that for over 20 years has featured international cooking competitions, outdoor tastings and concerts by famous artists. On June 29th, the town celebrates its patron saint St. Peter with the traditional boat procession in the harbour followed by an evening fireworks display. From MOMO, you have a front-row seat.
